Abstract

The ideological and political course is a key course for fulfilling the fundamental task to implement moral education and cultivate people. The unified edition of the Morality and Rule of Law course in the compulsory education stage is an ideological and political course, which has the crucial responsibility of cultivating new people of the times with ideals, capability and responsibility. With the country's high regard for the ideological and political course, since entering the new era, the reform of the ideological and political course has been achieved a lot of results. The ideological and political courses in junior high school has a relatively comprehensive teaching system in the China, ideological and political teachers have also explored various teaching and learning methods. This paper based on the embodied cognition theory, integrating the innovative teaching model of immersive teaching into the ideological and political course in junior high school, through refining teaching design, creating immersive learning situations, reproducing embodied actions, which can let students to promote the understanding of knowledge in real or simulated social situations, strengthen teachers' transmission of values to students and to explore improvement strategies for the junior high school Morality and Rule of Law curriculum to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for its teaching.
