Abstract

This paper reviews recent research on the reintegration of retired college students into academic life, focusing on the policy of exempting veterans from examinations for upgrading to undergraduate studies. From psychological, environmental, academic, and employment perspectives, and based on the studies of numerous scholars, this paper identifies issues specific to veterans who benefit from this policy. It objectively analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the policy, aiming to provide macro-level social work interventions to better assist this special group in adapting to campus life.
