Abstract

This study integrates theoretical and practical perspectives to investigate the synergies between digital infrastructure and green development in new energy enterprises, aiming to unlock pollution-carbon reduction mechanisms for sustainable growth at both enterprise and national levels under dual pressures of economic quality enhancement and decarbonization. In methodological terms, this study employs a stratified sampling approach across 30 Chinese provinces, surveying 1,092 residents, new energy enterprise employees, and government personnel through field interviews and questionnaires. The analysis examines how new digital infrastructure drives multi-dimensional pollution-carbon reduction synergies in enterprises. Findings indicate broad public recognition of digital infrastructure's positive impact on emission reduction synergies. Furthermore, the research integrates enterprise-level emissions data with green finance and technological development indicators to model their mediating effects on these synergies. Finally, the study concludes based on survey and empirical analysis that, amid the new wave of information technology, there is growing recognition of digital infrastructure's critical role in carbon reduction. Specifically, the synergistic potential of new digital infrastructure in enabling pollution-carbon reduction for new energy enterprises is increasingly acknowledged and accepted.
