Abstract

Professional spirit is closely related to college students' future career planning. Cultivating professional spirit helps college students establish a correct outlook on career selection and employment, thereby realizing their life goals. As one of the first batch of great spirits in the spiritual lineage of the Communist Party of China, the Model Worker Spirit contains rich scientific connotations and can provide an inexhaustible source for the cultivation of professional spirit among college students, especially those majoring in geology. The Model Worker Spirit and the professional spirit of geological major students in colleges and universities have inherent coupling in terms of cultural genes, value goals, and practical content. Integrating the Model Worker Spirit into the cultivation of professional spirit for geological major students has profound value implications. This paper focuses on the empowering role of the Model Worker Spirit in cultivating the professional spirit of geological major students in colleges and universities, and proposes practical paths for cultivating the professional spirit of geological major students under the guidance of the Model Worker Spirit. It aims to provide useful references for the cultivation of geological professionals in colleges and universities and help students develop a professional spirit that meets the development needs of the geological industry.
