Abstract

This paper mainly explores the role of sports tourism in promoting the development of the sports industry in Chengdu-Chongqing region against the background of the Chengdu FISU World University Games. By introducing the significance and attention of the Chengdu FISU World University Games to the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, it analyzes the potential impact of the Games on the sports tourism industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing region, discusses the role of sports tourism in shaping the city image, and how to focus on environmental protection and sustainable use of resources in the development of sports tourism. It also summarizes the important role of sports tourism and cultural exchanges in development, and emphasizes that the Chengdu FISU World University Games promotes economic growth, cultural inheritance and international exchanges in the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle.
